We are a group of women and men. Some of us are survivors of sexual abuse by priests and some of us are members of Voice of the Faithful. Some of us have been working on this issue for decades and some since the reality of the crimes of sexual and ritual abuse in the Catholic Church first made news in January, 2002. Together, in partnership, we are committed to insuring that the courageous voices who dared to break their silence, speak their reality and hold the Catholic Church accountable will never be swept into invisibility or silence again. While we are not a project of VOTF (Voice of the Faithful), SNAP (Survivors Network for those Abused by Priests), STTOP (Speak Truth To Power) or any other survivor or church oriented group, we support and appreciate the work of all the organizations that are likewise committed to addressing this horriffic public health issue that infects both the religious and secular communities we all share.
